Annual Capital Appeal
In 2018, the Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School Annual Capital Appeal will continue to focus on raising funds to support the much needed restoration of our heritage-listed Main Building.
Whilst remaining true to our heritage and traditions we aim to welcome students, parents, visitors and staff to an environment befitting a modern school.
In consultation with its Architects, the Board plans to restore the Main Building in line with its Conservation Management Plan, to incorporate contemporary design and amenities whilst retaining and conserving the building’s historical features.
It is hoped this year’s appeal will enable the immediate commencement of the first stage of restoration and refurbishment work to the Ground floor, including the installation of new floor coverings and improvements to the Reception area.
Your contributions, however great or small, will make a positive, and immediate difference and we thank you for your support.

More about Giving @ Grammar…
Since we opened our doors in the late 1800s the School has benefited greatly from the generosity of our beloved supporters and flourished into the outstanding learning environment it is today.
Many of the IGGS facilities that exist today were achieved through the philanthropic endeavours and foresight of past and present IGGS students and staff and the wider Ipswich community.
Some recent achievements made possible by generous contributions from the IGGS community include the recent renovation to our boarding facility Cribb House, the Regina Doig Teaching Observatory, the restoration of our Grammar Green precinct and additional programs for the Centre for Young Women’s Health and Wellbeing.
It is our greatest hope to continue to provide our students with a first class education in an environment that inspires them to be the best they can be.
Now is the time to secure your place in IGGS’s history. Every tax deductible* contribution you make, whether it is a regular donation or a one-off gift, will enhance the educational experience of all our students.
There are a number of other ways to support the School apart from the Annual Capital Appeal, including:
Bequests represent an investment in the future of our students and the quality of their education, whilst also being a meaningful way to recognise your connection to Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School.
A bequest is a provision in your Will, which specifically reserves part of your estate to a particular beneficiary. It offers an especially valuable contribution by providing a lasting, positive impact on the School community long into the future. It is an enduring contribution that can make a significant difference to the lives of others and create a legacy that can honour you, your family, or someone close to you, for generations to come.
Please view further details about our bequest program in the below Legacy Giving@Grammar brochure, or contact the Director of Enrolments and Community relations for a confidential discussion at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +61 7 3454 4442.
Gifts to our Building Fund secure the long-term future of our School. As we continue to improve and update our learning environment, key gifts are required to assist with our future planning.
The Library Fund was established to assist in the ongoing development and promotion of our School libraries as learning centres and research hubs. Donations to the Library Fund are used to improve student facilities including digital resources, online subscriptions, library-based computers and technology, staff, facility upgrades and refurbishments and special projects.
There is no greater gift than the gift of education and our Scholarship Fund provides an opportunity to have a direct impact on deserving girls who may not otherwise be able to attend IGGS. Scholarships can be set up in honour of an individual, family or group in perpetuity or as a stand-alone gift.
*Donations over $2 made to the Building, Scholarships and Library Funds are tax deductible.
On behalf of the students, and the generations of students to come, we thank you for your support and the opportunities you enable us to provide.
