The Long Lunch – Feast Beneath the Figs

The Inaugural Long Lunch was held at the School on Saturday, 2 September, 2017 in celebration of the School’s 125th Birthday. Approximately 370 people attended on a stunning, sunny Spring day. Beautifully laid tables were positioned along the School’s historic Avenue of Trees, a band played under the figs and food and drink were served from various locations adjacent to the avenue. A brilliant day was had by all!

Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School has been, and is, the catalyst for our unique school community. For 125 years it has fostered lifelong friendships and cherished memories. This year’s Long Lunch has strengthened the friendships and created new memories for those who attended the event.

Congratulations and thank you to the wonderful organising team: Lisa Hooper (Events and Special Projects Officer), Jenny Rush, Leisa Harrys, Hollie Berry, Karen Pratt, Carly Gregory and Andrea Ferrando. Thank you also to our wonderful Facilities team, Lynette Hill, and Hospitality staff and students for their assistance on the day.
