At the end of the year, the School has its most important School event, Speech Night. Book prizes, trophies and medals are presented to students who have excelled in academic, co-curricular and community service fields.

Academic honours and pockets are given to the top students in each year level, based on academic results for the year. Special tribute is paid to students who are first overall in each year level. In Years 11 and 12, there are subject prizes for those who have achieved the highest results in each subject. The top student in Year 12 is awarded the Dux of the School.

In sport, special awards are presented for outstanding performance, all-round proficiency or special effort. Co-curricular awards are also presented to students in the fields of Music, Speech and Drama and Debating.

There are a number of special awards for leadership and community service, including the Senior School Service Awards and the Mavis Parkinson Prize for Character.
