Our visual and performing arts program encourages our girls to create and express themselves while developing problem-solving skills and language abilities. Musical pursuits improve coordination and encourage concentration and patience.
Each year our girls proudly perform and compete at numerous events including the annual IGGS ANZAC ceremony, Christmas performances, local events, eisteddfods, school, state and national competitions.
School Musicals are held annually and hosting is shared with our brother school Ipswich Boy’s Grammar School.
Private tuition is available through the School for girls keen to advance in a variety of different activities.
Co-curricular opportunities in the Arts at IGGS include:
- Belle Voices

School of Performing Arts
Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School introduced their School of Performing Arts (SPA) Program in 2014 as a way to further extend and engage our talented Performing Arts students.
Our SPA Programs aims to inspire creative and performance-oriented students, connecting them with industry leaders through a number of workshops, lectures and rehearsals with the aim of developing their triple-threat skills as future performing artists.
Although practically structured, SPA is more than a performance-based course. It is a holistic program focused on developing your daughter as a confident and creative individual, imbued with resilience, perseverance and diligence.
SPA engages students through the Performing Arts by inviting students with a passion for performance to extend themselves beyond their current co-curricular engagements.
