Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School is a strong contender in academic competitions at local, state and national levels, with students able to access many opportunities to extend their intellectual pursuits beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
Academic-based co-curricular activities include:
- Duke of Edinburgh Awards
- Literacy Competitions
- Maths Challenge Group
- Public Speaking
- RobotIGGS & Coding
- E-STEAM Workshops
The IGGS E-STEAM (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) program provides challenges, extension and opportunities for our girls regardless of their current study pathways or interests.
The aim of our E-STEAM program is to ensure our girls are equipped with the necessary skills for the economy of the future.
E-STEAM is open to all Years 7 to Year 12 students through our co-curricular activities program. We host specialist workshops with internal and external educators and industry leaders as well as school holiday and outside of school hours programs, competitions and our RobotIGGS club.
Themed programs run throughout the year including Code Camp, Forensics and science projects.
