Class of 2024 ATAR and academic results
Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School’s (IGGS) graduating class of 2024 has once again upheld the School’s tradition of outstanding academic performance and dedication to personal excellence.
For the Class of 2024, the ATAR results represent the culmination of 13 years of education. The entire Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School including Ipswich Junior Grammar School community is immensely proud of the remarkable achievements of our Year 12 cohort. While academic results are just one aspect of education, the ATAR scores mark a significant milestone in our students’ academic journeys.
Achieving high academic standards requires sustained effort, disciplined organisation, and unwavering resilience. We commend our students for consistently embodying the school values of diligence, excellence, and integrity.
We also want to acknowledge the crucial role of our teaching staff in supporting our students throughout their educational experience. Additionally, the success of our students is greatly supported by their families and close friends. It truly is a team effort.
- 85% of our Year 12 cohort were ATAR eligible.
- 3% received an ATAR greater than or equal to 99, placing them in the top 1% in Queensland.
- 20% of students received an ATAR greater than or equal to 95.
- 39% achieved 90 or greater.
- 57% achieved 85 or greater.
- 87% achieved 80 or greater (or equivalent rank).
- The median ATAR is 87.25.
The 2024 Miss Tatham’s Memorial Prize for Dux of the School was awarded to Adyson Darnell. Adyson achieved an ATAR of 99.75 and plans to study a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics at the University of Queensland.
Second in Year 12, a Gift of the Brisbane of Branch of the Old Girls Association, will be awarded to Eleanor Bond with an ATAR of 99.00.
Students achieved perfect scores in 13 external assessments, and 12 students achieved A grades in all their subjects. Congratulations to the following students for receiving QCAA QCE Academic Commendations; Alex Beitz, Matilda Cervetto, Nayana Chundiran, Adyson Darnell, Alice Ferrando, Isabelle Hill and Rudrie Raval.
25% of students were offered early university places in study areas including Creative Arts, Architecture and Building, Law, Engineering, Psychology, Communication, and Information Technology.
31 students also achieved Vocational Education Training (VET) Certificates across 18 different courses in conjunction with their ATAR or Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). 22% of ATAR eligible student also achieved VET qualifications. This means students leave school with work-ready skills, enabling them to seek employment or further training.
100% of our IGGS Seniors have attained a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
Today, we celebrate the achievements of many fine young people who have demonstrated the attitudes, attributes, and skills to be the best versions of themselves.
