Canteen – IGGY’s Place
Our school canteen, IGGY’s place, is managed by Mrs Lorie Robinson, a catering manager and qualified nutritionist. Also serving as the Boarder’s Dining Room, it serves a wide range of fresh, nutritious meal items, most of which are freshly prepared on the premises by our kitchen staff.
The menu options at IGGY’s Place are healthy, fresh and varied, including Australian and international cuisine, as well as vegetarian options.
IGGY’s Place has twice been awarded ‘Western Region Tuckshop of the Year’ by the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops, in recognition of the healthy menu options offered.
The canteen is open to IGGS students for morning tea and lunch, Monday to Friday. Snacks and drinks are available after school.
Students have the option of paying for their canteen order using cash or EFTPOS.
Looking to Volunteer?
Like most school canteens, we rely on volunteers to help serve meals quickly so that students can stay nourished and still have time to enjoy their favourite activities during morning tea and lunchtimes.
Volunteers are always in demand as helpers in the canteen. Volunteers usually sign up for one day every four weeks from the hours of 9.30am – 1.00pm.
If parents are interested in giving time in this way please contact Mrs Lorie Robinson, Catering Manager via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling directly on +61 7 3454 4411.
